01. Acceptance and parties
These terms govern the use of the Flavor Quest — World Kitchen mobile game (iOS and Android), developed by Erkan Giris ("we"), and the playflavorquest.com website. By downloading, installing or playing the game you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you don't accept them, don't use the game and remove it from your device.
If you downloaded the game from the App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement ↗ also applies; if from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service apply. Where they conflict with these terms, the store's rules take precedence. Apple and Google are not parties to these terms; we alone are responsible for supporting and maintaining the game.
If you're under 18, use the game, and especially purchases, with the consent of a parent or guardian.
02. License to use the game
We grant you a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive and revocable license to play the game on devices you own or control, for personal and non-commercial purposes. The game is licensed to you, not sold.
You may not copy, rent, sell, modify or reverse engineer the game, or use any of its parts (art, music, levels) in another product, except where applicable law expressly allows it.
03. Gold and in-game items
Gold, boosters (knife, pan, pot, spatula, meat mallet, mixer, rolling pin), lives, unlimited-life periods and similar items in the game ("in-game items") are for use inside the game only.
- In-game items can't be exchanged for real money, goods or anything else of value; they can't be sold or transferred and have no value outside the game.
- When you buy or earn them, you get the right to use them in the game; you don't acquire ownership of the items.
- Gold and boosters are used up as you spend them. Timed items such as unlimited lives end when their time runs out.
- We may change prices, rewards and item effects to balance the game. This won't reduce the amount of items you've already bought but not yet used.
- We reserve the right to correct or remove items granted by mistake or obtained by cheating.
04. Purchases and refunds
Gold, booster and unlimited-life packs can be bought with real money in the game. Payment is made through the Apple App Store or Google Play under that store's rules. The price, including taxes, is shown on the store's screen before you buy. Some packs (for example the Chef's Starter Pack) can only be bought once.
Your purchase is added to your account, that is, your game save, as soon as payment is confirmed. Because these are intangible digital items delivered immediately, the right of withdrawal doesn't apply to them under Article 15 of Turkey's Distance Contracts Regulation. The store's refund rules and your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
Refund requests are handled by the store: reportaproblem.apple.com ↗ for Apple, your order history for Google Play. If a purchase is refunded, the in-game items it delivered may be removed from your save.
If a purchase didn't arrive or disappeared, try the steps on the Support page or write to info@playflavorquest.com.
05. Rewarded ads
The game only has rewarded video ads that you choose to watch. The reward is given when the video is watched to the end and the ad service confirms it. We don't guarantee that ads will always be available; the number of views per day is limited. Ads are served by Google AdMob; advertisers are responsible for ad content. Data processing for ads is described in the Privacy Policy.
06. Save and backup
There are no accounts in the game. Your progress is saved on your device and may be backed up to iCloud on iPhone and iPad, or to the device's system backup on Android. Backups depend on Apple's and Google's services and your device settings. Since we have no servers of our own, we can't restore progress that isn't on your device or in your backup.
Deleting app data, turning off iCloud or turning off backup may permanently lose your progress and in-game items. Progress can't be moved between iPhone and Android yet.
07. Rules of conduct
While playing, you must not:
- Use cheats, bots, automation tools or software that modifies the game.
- Tamper with your save, the clock or device settings to get gold, lives or items.
- Abuse ad rewards or the purchase system, or make fraudulent purchases.
- Try to bypass the game's security, decompile its code or disrupt the service.
If you break these rules, we may remove items obtained unfairly or end your license.
08. Intellectual property
The Flavor Quest name and logo, and the game's art, characters, maps, music, level designs, texts and software belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. Recipe names and dishes in the game are part of common culture; the way we've adapted them to the game is ours.
You may share videos and screenshots of your play for non-commercial purposes, as long as you don't present them as the game itself. We'd love that.
09. Beta versions
Beta versions distributed through TestFlight or Google Play closed testing are in development: they may contain bugs, progress or items may be reset, and features may change or be removed. No real payment is taken for store items in the beta. We may use the feedback you send to improve the game, without any obligation to you.
10. Limitation of liability
We work to keep the game running well, but it's provided "as is": we don't guarantee that it will run without interruption or errors, or perform the same on every device. We're not responsible for progress lost due to device failure, problems with iCloud or Google backup, or reasons on your side.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we're not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the game, and our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the game in the last 12 months. Liability for intent and gross negligence and your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
11. Changes and termination
We may update the game and add, change or remove content. If we decide to stop offering the game, we'll announce it a reasonable time in advance in the game or on this site, and close new purchases from that date.
We may change these terms; when we do, we'll update the date on this page. We'll point out any significant change at the top of the page. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the new terms.
You can stop using the game any time by removing it from your device.
12. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. If you're a consumer, you can apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committees within the legal monetary limits, and to the Consumer Courts above them. If you live in another country, its mandatory consumer protection rules also apply.
The fastest way to solve a problem is to write to us: info@playflavorquest.com. If any provision of these terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
